Maybe. Maybe not.
I view the video with a much different perspective than you do .... likely much closer to how undecided voters in KY might view it ....
A politicians staff playing politics. Staffers, not her, offering an opinion of how she might actually feel. Staffers telling "votes" what they want to hear in order to get their support.

Just about every person (undecided or not) in Kentucky has a relative or friend that works in the mines or an industry tied to the mines. Coal is a big time resource in KY.
The "staffers" are closer to her than anyone else and I'm quite sure that they know how she actually feels. 55% to 45% is my guess on the election...after this came out..

I dont think she will win ... but I thought that before this came out.
I just didnt see what was on the video as that damaging in the opinions of those who are undecided. I think there is a pretty big anti incumbent push in many pockets across the nation and that is why it is even close for Mitch.
Staffers are likely going to tell the audience whatever they want to hear in order to secure their support and their vote .... it does not necessarily reflect what the candidate feels.
Also, its worth noting, most folks in Indiana know someone tied to coal but Obama still carried our state in 2008.

What can they say "The staffers lied to get votes"? Out and out deception does not play well with any voter...

I heard this on a talk show the other day. HOWEVER, Ky TV stations like WHAS or WAVE 3 never mentioned it (liberal stations). Grimes has been advertising false information about Mitch since she started. She has NO experience just like Obama, and will just things worse than they are now. Currently, they say she is leading Mitch by 2 percentage points, which I question. ".....U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes is lying about her support for the state’s coal industry according to Kentucky Democrats, including members of her campaign team, who were captured on a hidden camera video....."

Pretty sure you could replace the word Democrat with the word Republican and the statement would still hold true.

I might agree with ya to the point of Hating America...I know Republican's love this Country. They're God fearing, Patriotic, flag waving American's....not left wing, liberal anti- American hacks like Democrats are.

This country is going to h*ll and the do nothing people (both Republicans and Democrats) in Washington are the root cause of all of it. It's time to change things up and until voters do that in the primaries or fall elections, we're going to continue to get what we've gotten for years. Nothing good.

We only have to choices to vote in any election.... Democrap..or Republican. I agree with both parties being corrupt and incompetent, but you have to go with the lesser or the two Evils..and Democrats are destroying America, so it's time to change things up come November and vote all Democrats out. If you wanna see what Democrats can do to our Country, look at Illinois, New Jersey, California, New York. They want everyone on welfare, they want our guns, and everyone to be dependent on the Government for their healthcare, Democrats over tax the working people and over spend the money, then take more by implementing more taxes, taking more money....Money grubbing Bas&^$%s

Many times there are candidates in the primary elections that people could vote for (and don't). We (as a nation) continually complain about the do nothing Government, yet in 2012, 90% of incumbents who ran for re-election won. So in the end, whose fault is the mess? So what is the solution? Work with your state Republican (or Democratic) party to see if there are viable candidates that you can support to run against incumbents. Work for those people in the primary and general elections and try to send new people to Washington. Or we can all keep blaming the "other" party and continue along the road we are on until the whole mess collapses.

Or, you could look a little further on the ballot and choose the Libertarian candidate wherever one is running.
We do have a third choice in many races.
Do not buy into the BS about such a choice being a case of "throwing your vote away". That would what you are doing if you vote for one of the two parties that you disagree with in principle because one of them will "win".
If you vote your principles, or for the party closest to those principles, then YOU win, regardless of the final vote count, because you will have expressed YOUR ideas about the changes that need to be made. And if you vote for a party that doesn't agree with your principles you will have lost, even if that party wins.
The votes all get counted and recorded,at least in theory, and any significant number of voters expressing their displeasure with both the major parties will have those parties looking at changes in their positions or performance to regain those "lost" voters. The Libertarian Party has already caused the Republican Party to alter their policies on some issues, and to change their own election procedures to try to diminish the effects of their existence. We can change a major party's direction over the course of a few elections without ever winning the majority vote anywhere. The voter with the most power is the one who is not a sure thing, but whose vote needs to be competed for.

FWIW, I think if Grimes has a strong showing @ the debate she can continue to build on her recent momentum and maybe pull this thing out. But...if McConnell can show voters that she (Grimes) is woefully inexperienced and out of her league, he goes back to Washington for another term.

Libertarians, Independents, there are other candidates in any race. It's your responsibility as the voter to investigate their qualifications and positions on the issues that matter to you. In the Information Age there is no excuse for voting for a rotten apple.
