With the light winds this week, I dragged the x-bow out, made sure the nocks still lit up, double checked the blades on the broadheads and shot a bit to verify the zero on the x-bow. Still as accurate as ever, still as loud as ever. I'm ready for Wed. morning!

I had hoped that my son would get a deer this weekend but stomach flu has hit this house hard, no one in the woods today. So I am going to try to hit the woods after work Wednesday morning. Been practicing with my compound bow for months. Generally the first week of October is my favorite, followed by the last week of October.

I got mine out today and checked everything out on it. Fired a few shots and the scope is dead on. I'm not sure when I'll take it out. Depends on which stand I set in.

Got the quad oil changed and serviced, crossbow ready to go, muzzleloader/shotgun sighted in, stands checked. Now just need the weather to cool down, way to hot right now.

I'll tell you this, I am more ready now that I've seen Saturdays forecast! Low of 37 and high of 59 with westerly winds. That has put a smile on my face and a bounce in my step!

Tomorrow's ESE winds are problematic for me. Most of the deer seem to walk on this particular property from N to S, and most of the areas that I have patterned don't have suitable trees to the West of where the deer are moving.
