Yes you can make a deposit at the Shnitzelbank.

I'm not exactly a fan of Velma's but nothing in Indy compares to the Snitz, or the Mill House, or the Essen Haus. Pappa's is pretty good as well.
The lack of a Starbucks is an appealing characteristic for me but unfortunately, Bedford already has a Starbucks and Jasper has at least two non-chain coffee shops.
Lol, by my observation they seem to have a lot of sailors, but I prefer to save room for the delicious T-bone that they have special once in awhile.

This is true. I see them as different (the ones I've been to--haven't been to the Mill House or Essen Haus), but just as good as most restaurants in Indy. And you were going to mention Pappa's, weren't you...that place is great! I do like the greater variety of restaurants that can be found in Indy (although not as much variety as Fort Wayne, I think). And remember...no hibachi grills in Bedford/Shoals/Jasper... Although I'd be marginally disappointed about having to drive to Bedford for a "fix" of the real thing, I'd put up with it. And the two non-chain coffee shops better have wi-fi internet access!!! It's probably only a matter of time before Jasper gets a Starbucks anyways. The people in town would probably love it. City stuff in moderation within 20-30 miles of home isn't all that bad, dear...
