I have hunted the Mississippi river, Indiana lakes, Canada prairie land but Texas waterfowl hunting was awsome! we hunted wheat fields in layouts (limit)hunted green timber(limit) flooded cornfield in pits (limit) and open water in floating blinds(limit). all of these opportunities were on private ground with no pressure in the area. we shot mallards, pinnys, teal, spoonies, widgeon, and gadwalls. just for fun we shot snows and 14 wild pigs! the only downside is that Texas is 12 hours away all duck hunters need to venture out and see what else the country of waterfowling has to offer freelance hunting is there just get up the gumption and try it
