This duck flew in from who knows where and has been at my sister in law pond. It has been here for about a week and a half. Anyone know the name of this breed ? I personally have never seen one before.

I second the Muscovy duck ID. Great for making Czarnina soup aka Polish blood soup.

There was a muscovy duck that lived on the pond at an apartment complex where I stayed in Indy. I called him Dude and he would wag his tail when I went outside to talk to him. They seem to not mind humans.

A good friend has one that shows up every year it seems like. Hangs around the cow pasture...maybe eating bugs? Not sure, I've seen him once. Pretty neat looking bird!

That is a new one to me. I did lots of duck hunting up in the Dakotas and have never seen a duck like this.
