Let's say your out waterfowl hunting , your at your blind a hour before shooting time getting everything ready and drinking a cup of coffee . Shooting time comes around and you see no birds , then a hour or more still no birds in sight , When do you call it a day ? And would you come back late afternoon to try again ?

If the birds aren't flying I will usually stay till the coffee runs out or I get tired of listening to my hunting companions.

Depends on the day, who I am hunting with, how close I am to home or my mood. I have sat all day without any shots and other days I have left an hour after daylight.

I don't duck hunt but I do get kind of antsy when my coffee and snacks run out while deer or turkey hunting.

I usually just start to pick up decoys and that brings in the birds !!
