I have finally decided to get in the trail camera game, since I now have a lease. So can you guys recommend a trail camera that's not overly priced but reliable. Please give me your real world experiences with them. Thanks!

I run Bushnell, Moultrie, Covert, Wildgame, Spypoint, and Scoutgard. I like my Bushnell's the best. Just bought the Moultrie and have just now got it in the woods. All the rest have been good cameras. Bushnell comes with a two year warranty and they have good customer service

I recently purchased a Stealthcam G42NG and am really liking it. The only issue I have is it will not take photos via PIR when in time lapse mode as it is supposed to do. I bought it for the TL mode option. Great photos. Only had it 3 months but it has taken around 6K photos in TL mode. Great battery life as well. Will have to send it back for replacement I reckon. The Bushnell cams are the next on my list, just never hear anything really bad about them and the have TL mode as well.

I placed an order for a Browning Strike Force yesterday. Hopefully it gets here before next weekend so I can get it set out. It's replacing a Moultrie I had but the seal fell out and I didn't realize it. After a good rain it was done for. An ant colony moved into it as well without the seal being there. It took good pics. I'm also running an Eyecon on a 5 shot burst that does really well. My other cam is a Wildgame Innovation and it's ok at best. I don't see myself buying another one. Here's a vid I threw together the other day from the Eyecon (actual video from the camera, not pics).

My longest lasting so far was a Wildgame Innovations camera. Three years then was flooded last year. As a second camera I had a Hunten Outdoors one, was great while it lasted.....which was about 3 months. So this month I bought another Wildgame Innovations camera and so far so good.

I've ran trailcams for 20 years. Had about all of the Big Name camera's at some point.
I have 13 trailcams I run currently. I have 4 Bushnell Trophy cams, 3 Moultrie M-880's and 6 Cuddebacks. The Bushnell's at approx. $200 are great cameras, The Moultrie 880's are almost as good, no quite, but for $75 less dollars approx. the best value for the money spent IMO..
The Cuddebacks I've had alot trouble with ( ran the cuddebacks for many years). I have 1-attack model,2 Capture models, 1 expert model, 2 excite models....all had problems and don't work properly..to fix or replace would cost the same money as buying a New Moultrie 880...so instead of fixing or upgrading I just buy a Moultrie..If money wasn't an option I spend it on a Bushnell Trophy cam HD model. Bushnell is a great camera.
Wildgame cameras IMO and experience are the worst one manufactured. Reconyx camera's are the very best made but run $450-550. Browning strike force- takes good pictures, but video and nighttime photos suck. I just recently sent one back for a refund. Won't buy anther Browning camera
Used to run the Camtracker 35mm camera's many years ago...lol...but that's another story...camera's have came a LONG way since then.

Although not my favorite my Wildgame X6 has been a problem free camera now for going on 4 years. It might go on the blink the next time I check it. Speaking of 35mm cameras. Here's my first camera I ever bought. A hulking Moultrie 35mm I bought many years ago. It took more pictures of nothing than deer. When the batteries got low it would trigger and run off a whole roll of film of nothing. A trip to town and a 10.00 developing fee and all the problems this camera gave me I almost gave up on game cameras. Who would have ever thought that one day pictures would be sent directly to you sitting in your Lazy Boy at home. I can only guess what the future holds.
