Anyone know of a bee friendly weed killer? Dad started some hives this spring and is weary about using any weed killers near the bees. My problem is my kill plot is only 90-100 yards from his hives and I need to kill it off to plant. Any suggestions ?

I use Roundup right around the hives and have no problems.

Read your labels and follow the directions. They will tell you what conditions to avoid. If you are worried about pesticides could you just till or disk it up a few times to prep the plot?

Just to alleviate dads concerns, I'm gonna just till/disk it about once a week or so until I'm ready to plant.
