Mine stays around my neck like the calls.. Its on a lanyard of its own.. Keep it warm,, and it will work.. Probably doesnt harm it,, but it will work better warm...

You might get different opinions as to leaving it in the truck, but here's mine. I think taking it in and out from cold to warm is harder on them. The reason is that condensation builds up and could cause more problems with the electronics.

I sometimes take it to my stand just in case I see something interesting to take a picture of. The cold kind fo sucks the battery down though..

Mine seems to be out of batteries all the time when I take it in the boat. Assume it has something to do with the cold???

Mine does very well on regular AA batteries. But if you are having problems, you might try the lithum batteries. They cost quite a bit more, but they last a lot longer and are suppose to be better in the cold.

I have a Minolta and if you put regular AA batteries in it they don't last over 10 minutes. I bought one of those rechargeable battery kits with 4 AA batteries and a charger for 18.00 at Walmart. With these it lasts a few hours unless I run it on video mode, then its around 1/2 hour. I bought another 4 batteries so now i can carry 6 in the bag and 2 in the camera so i never run out of power. h.h.

Which reminds me... I need to get my camera out of the truck and make sure the battery is charged up for the Christmas Eve festivities at the Williams household.

I havent tried the rechargable batteries yet,, but am thinking about it.. For sure the Lithium are better and cheaper by far in the end.. They last for a long time.. You will get tired of buying regular batteries.. For taking pics during the hunt,, I keep mine around my neck and under my coat and waders at all times.. It stays nice and warm,, so it works fine the entire hunt.. But its also a PWB camera,, so if I take a dunk in the drink,, I just leave it behind and go buy another ;D ;D ;D It also shows in the quality of my pics though......

Take the dang thing with you to the field!!!! The best pictures come unexpectedly. Put it in a waterproof container (dry box, pelican case, etc).
I take my Canon SLR evrywhere, its in a pelican case. Before that I took my Nikon P&S everywhere. It was in a softsided case in a ziplock bag. Never had a bit of problem.

The Kodak "Easy Share" is anything but "easy"..
Several members on her could never get their Easy Share pictures posted.
You might look at another photo program..
