5 of us took our limit of geese this mornin. Probably seen 4-500. Was little tough off the get go however with boats flyin around the lake below us and evidently the US army shooting at every bird that wanted to come off of the lake.

We also had a good morning, NOT on the geese only had 4 all morning took one. But the ducks was a different story, seen teal, pins, mallards and a black. Ended up with the one goose and 12 ducks.

oooooooooooo almost forgot the weird part. First bird had a muskrat leg hold trap still attatched to his web.... chain and all!!

Now that is some jewelry, I'd hang that from your lanyard....unless it wasn't flying and you all just pulled it out of the guys set!!!!

ha no.... came flyin in.... could see him comin accross the field with somethin hangin... we all wondered y he was flyin so low to the ground so long.....

We got two drakes this morning, and a little jewelry on one of them... but didn't see a single goose all day. And I couldn't tell whether we heard some or just heard some other hunters' goose calls in the distace.
Here's a good one, though... saw a deer on a little island near where we hunted, and got the boat within 15 feet of her without her getting a bit nervous, but saw no geese. On my Tueday state park deer hunt, I saw 0 deer, but one lone goose flew right over the woods, like 30 yards above my treestand. It's like they know...... Keep your eyes peeled!
