When we had our Mothers service last year ,I noticed a lot more houses and grass instead of corn and soybean fields kinda near the 2 Family farms where i hunt at in Illinois . But i also noticed a lot more Geese in the area as well . not to sure if theres a connection between the two . I know that i should have posted this months a go , but hey better late then never as the o'le saying goes .

In the waterfowl workshop, they told us that our neighborhoods are perfect for the geese, ponds and nice lawns.

So there is a good chance i might see some geese flying over the fields that i hunt , that would be great .

This last season (my first waterfowl season) I spent a few weeks scouting for geese and ducks to hunt. Unfortunately almost all the geese I found were in suburban no hunt areas. I followed a few groups and they never flew outside of the town limits. Hoping to find a place or two next season that holds geese or ducks that I can actually hunt

The good thing is the Church is only 10 min. from the farms where i hunt , one farm is on the same side of the road where the Church is and a ten min. drive and the other farm is across the street but a ten min. drive from where the church is . So hopefully the geese will pass over atleast one of the farms , preferably the farm that i'm hunting at .
