Hello. Some friends and I were looking to find permissions or properties in Indiana in which to hog hunt. A group of us are Correctional Officers from major Indiana prisons and hunting is of interest to us. We would like to work something out as to being allowed to hunt fairly and cleanly with rifles and donating portions of the catch to local counties. All of this would be negotiable. Our main interest is fairly hunting and killing hogs for meat and to help communities by controlling the feral hog population.
If anyone has information or is interested in helping us to find an area we would be very appreciative. Thank you.

There was somewhere in Southern Indiana that has been pretty successful. I think its the Greene-Sullivan forest area? If I remember correctly, in addition to the feral hogs, several years ago a farmer released a LOT of hogs into the forest because he was fed up with his land being foreclosed on. Because of this, there are is a higher than average number of hogs in the area. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong about that particular area, but I am pretty sure thats where it was.

I've heard there are pockets in the Hoosier National Forest and some other areas, but not that many and most people in the know keep quiet about it.

I go to Georgia every year to hog hunt and turkey hunt. my membership to the 1100 acre lease is $850.00 a year and I can take my son anytime of the year. the license to hunt hogs and other small game is $100 a year and if I hunt turkey and deer its another $200 for 3 turkey and 2 bucks 10 doe. needless to say I don't go for deer season.I ended up last year just tending to the huge live traps, we caught 19 hogs one night, had a blast,if anyone is interested in checking this lease out give me a shout I'm planning on going back in march for more turkeys and hogs!! the club president always tells me to bring a couple friends the other members are from florida and don't hunt much outside of deer season.

Guy from the gym caught 2 last week in his trap outside Medora. Just hit the southern states. I killed well over a 100 on public land before I joined a hunting club so I could turkey hunt down there without 100s of friends hunting over me. . I killed 23 last year off the club.
