The last day of the late goose season we worked on reducing some of the resident area geese around Plainfield. The birds didnt work like we thought they would, but scratched a dozen birds. No matter how well you think you know the birds they will do what they want any given day. Fun was had by all. 2 of the geese arent in the pic. Setting the decoys Final results.

The northern part of the state was slim pickens this February do to the heavy snow covering fields and the frozen waters. On Sunday one day after the season closed I had 18 geese sitting in the open water in from of my blind, there hadn't been any geese here for over a month go figure. On Saturday The wife and I drove down to the Lafayette area and never saw one bird or any open water. Good to see someone in the state taking advantage of that February season.
