Finally got me a full plumage green wing this mornin. Normally we dont shoot teal this late in the year up here ( atleast on my spots) so when i got report there were some on a flooded timber spot outside of town.. I was without a doubt "in" for the hunt. Just after shootin time about 12 come in and we folded 5 somehow. Only one was colored up.. i would say about 90%. He is goin to the taxi man! Brother killed one a couple years ago over thanksgiving break that was absolutely beautiful but we lost it due to freezer issues. Ended up with 5 tealy birds and 4 mallards between the 2 of us. Another great weekend.

congrats noble. Greenwings make great mounts. I have one that reminds me how fast they are- wings open twisted body, mounted on drift wood.
Gooseband- gotta love the money saving shots like that! I've witnessed it, but never done it. watched a kid do it last year with buffleheads- 2 with one shot.

100 bucks down, pay the rest in small amounts.... never say never! set in a freezer with name, date, species, and where you shot it, and wait until you have a 100 bucks saved up, even go so far as to put 5 dollars in the sock with the bird: cold cash!!!! wife's panty hose work well at preserving the bird too: keeps the feathers compresed. put in head first. The taxidermist only has to cut the hose to get to the bird.
