That's awesome.
There are a lot of animals I dream of hunting, but to me a moose with a bow is the ultimate achievement. I hope I am lucky enough to chase them one day, but I'll just keep dreaming in the meanwhile.

Even though I have no desire to shoot a Moose I am proud for this guy because he was after the meat when he got that prize in the box of Cracker Jack.

Same thing with the former world record elk. Shot in 1899 by a coal miner for the meat. He left the rack at the kill and never went back for it, but after telling some friends about it, he told them if they wanted it, to go get it, it's yours'. Mounted on a cow elk head, it hung over a bar for years. Google "John Plute".

I can see why a guy wouldn't realize he may have a record. It's a lot harder to judge scores on 72" wide moose than on a whitetail.
All those big moose racks look the same to me.

Doubt there is anything average about a guy who lives in modern day Dawson City. That guys life revolves around surviving for one more winter.

There was a 3 night mini series on Discovery last week about the Klondike gold rush .... Dawson City.
Had to be a tough SOB to make that trek .... and survive once you made it.
