Well it's official, the Gumz refuge is now a permanent refuge never to be farmed again. They are holding a lot more birds than they normally do for an opener. They include Redheads,Ringnecks and about 150 Specks,(remember specks are not legal for about another week)there are also a lot of Canada geese. The Gumz unit is picked and is taking on water,those blinds are set to open on I believe either 11-4 or 11-7. If you sent in for a reserve and never received a reply you need to call the office and see if you were chosen.If you were and didn't receive a confirmation letter all you have to do is show up on the date that you were picked for and produce your drivers license and your hunting license as identification. The local clubs are also picked and flooded which is unusual for this time of year.
