February 20-23, 2014 INDIANA STATE FAIRGROUNDS indianadeerandturkeyexpo.com/The Indiana Deer, Turkey & Waterfowl Exposition opens on Thursday and runs through the second weekend of the Indianapolis Boat, Sport & Travel Show. Word on the street is the Beck buck, 2nd largest non-typical killed by a hunter will be on display during the Deer&Turkey Expo in Indianapolis on February 20-23 this year! Show opens at 11:00 both Thursday and Friday, Saturday 9:00 Sunday 10:00. I am told this will be the only time it will be on display, at least here in Indiana. Also the "NEW" HRB will be on sale there also

What a blast from the past. Jim Ward was a room mate back @ BSU. Will certainly be looking him up that weekend. He is a good ol' boy originally from Morgan Co if I recall.
He was heck of a hunter back then too. We had some good times back then!

We went to the Cincy show over the weekend and I was blown away at how small it is compared to the Indy show!

Ya, Cincinnati has got worse every year. Indy is the one to attend.

I saw the Beck buck today. WOW! What an impressive deer!
We will be at the show Saturday late afternoon (about 4 p.m. to close) at the Conservation Bird Dog Club booth just west of the Wall of Fame. Stop in and say hello.

I had a great time at the Expo yesterday. I bought some stuff for my climbing stand from Third Hand Archery. I bought a Mathews hoodie for the wife. I met Tim Beck, very humble guy considering the deer he had on the wall. I attended Fred Eichler's elk hunting seminar which ignited a fire to make it out west soon. I had a chance to meet Fred and chat with him afterwards. I felt like a little kid meeting one of his favorite baseball players... ![](http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/24/zygupuza.jpg) Pictures really don't do justice for the Beck Buck... ![](http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/24/umynyry2.jpg)

Thanks for sharing the pictures of the Beck buck...but I have to tell you I do not like that droopy ears mount. I think the taxidermist tried for an aggressive look and failed..
The right eye doesn't look right either..

My wife commented that the head looked tiny. I told her that's because it has over three hundred inches on antler on its head.

I've read a few of Mr. Beck's writings and he is a card for sure. Pretty funny laid back type of guy.. Facebook page is at... www.facebook.com/pages/Tim-Beck/544732635558758Read a few of his posts there. He has a great sense of humor...
