Since no one else was able to go back to the pit today, I was invited back with one of the agents. The morning started off very slow. We had 1 group come in and we both bombed on them. A little later, we had a mallard coming into the spread and again, a bomb. Then we had one more group come in just before 10 and my agent dropped 1 and I bombed on one shot. We had to leave around 11, but my agent had to speak with someone for about 10 minutes at the clubhouse. I stayed at the pit in hopes of getting one more chance and that's all it took. Had a group of 4 come dropping in and I managed a double. A great way to end the days hunt. Looks like it's time to buy a lot of goose decoys

Nice pics. I have hunted over in crab orchard back in the early 90's when geese were always over there. I live in Evansville, and hunted waterfowl in this area for 31 years. It is very addictive if your starting out, but once you get the fever, it is on like donkey kong. Glad you had a good hunt.
