Does this remain the same year after year with a lifetime license?

No. You must get a new number every year. The survey you complete when getting your number is where they get some of the information from for the previous year.

Correct... with a lifetime you are covered for life on your hunting license and all applicable stamps and tags for Indiana, but you have to renew your HIP # every year and purchase your Fed. waterfowl stamp every year.

Here's how I handle the situation: I photocopy my life license. Then I get a HIP #, write it on the same page as my photo copied license. Finally, I purchase my federal permit, stick it to the paper, and sign across it. Keep it in a ziplock baggie in my blind bag. - with my choke tubes and wrench. I also keep a photo copy in my deer hunting backpack, two extras in my gun safe. Original is laminated and in my wallet. This year, my son actually drew a hunting picture on the paper with my waterfowl version. He's 6 thought I'd like it. kinda cute!- its of him and me hunting!

He'd have to be a great artist to make you look good ;D. Seriously, though, make sure you save that....that's what makes the fondest memories! I know you do a ton with kids, so you're memories will always be special.
