Hey there, new the forum. Was wondering if anyone willing to pick up an extra guy for goose hunt? Not trying to cyber scout or steal anyone's spot. Just looking to do something I love and haven't been able to meet many water fowlers in Southern Indiana. Will gladly tag along and be respectful of everyone's space. Let me know if anyone interested...

Just looking to do something I love and haven't been able to meet many water fowlers in Southern Indiana. Will gladly tag along and be respectful of everyone's space. Let me know if anyone interested... Have you thought about hunting at Hovey Lake? I use to go there with my neighbors when I was in college. But that's been over 30 years ago. My neighbor still hunts waterfowl but I'm hunting coyotes these days. There is also Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife area. I saw earlier in the season where 18 people had signed in to hunt waterfowl out there one morning. Good luck finding a hunting partner. That's hard to do. Did you ever think about joining Duck's Unlimited? There was a guy out at Gander Mountain the other day selling raffle tickets for a chance to win 20 different guns in the drawing. He's a member of Ducks Unlimited. Might look up the Duck Unlimited guys and see if anyone is willing to go hunting with you. It's not easy to find a good and dependable hunting partner unless you have some friends that also like to hunt.

Yeah, stay away from that guy. He will stel your spots and go back and hunt and fish in the places you take him to. But DU is a good way to meet new hunters. Good luck

moose1am DUCKMASTER1 - Thanks for the pointers. Yeah I'm finding it very hard to hook up with hunting partners. I've hunted both Hovey and Bluegrass, but without a boat Hovey is tough and then Bluegrass is loaded with sky blasters lol. I did contact DU once, but the guy wasn't too helpful. I'll check again though. Thanks again for the responses... kills me that I'm not out today getting a last shot at some ducks! lol

Is duck hunting season over now for the Southern Part of the state? If so what about Geese. Are they now also out of season? Or can you still hunt geese down here. If waterfowl season is over (ducks and geese) then I wonder if that means we can fish at Bluegrass Fish & Wildlife area lakes not that the waterfowl season is over. I read the sign in the parking lot at the South End of Bluegrass Pit and it said that the duck hunting was over on the 19th of Jan. So I guess we can start fishing there again now.

Oh yeah, or behind Cracker Barrel either one! Leave that Cracker Barrel spot alone Me and Woody meet there for breakfast and when were through we take the left over bread and feed it to the ducks all the while looking for bands and cops. Woody and I are graduates of the Jeff Foiles School of duck hunting.

LOL I thought that waterfowl season was over and that they could fish at bluegrass again but I guess I was mistaken. Thanks for the information.
