We lost a good one. It is a great reminder to live life how you want, hug your loved ones as it can happen at any time.

And it seems like just yesterday. Miss the old man every day. Way too soon. Seen a huge flock of about 100 or so migrators today and wanted to call and let him know.

I can still see that pic of him standing against the orange sky like it was yesterday!! I would argue on here with him just like anyone else! I feel grateful having known him on this website! Even though I never did meet him in person!! His knowledge was plentiful and he always shared it on here!! Remember the wheelbarrow pic also,, that was another classic!! I remember almost planning a trip with him to head up to (I think it was Regina, Canada). Talked with him on the phone a few times trying to iron out the details,, but in the end the trip fell apart from bad timing on my part. He had the place to stay and knowledge of the area and I am sure I missed out on not learning from him and taking that trip!! Live and learn I guess! Its always the good ones that get taken away!! Art was one of a kind and they broke the mold on that old fart also!! But I am glad I can say I was able to argue with him too!!  Where is the rest of that HIT Squad group from way back these days?? |
