Yesterday I was terribly sick with a case of Avian flu. Feel much better today! The morning becgan with a great flight of birds circling our dekkes. My dog got excited and his tail hit the front or the boat blind. The front flap fell down. Amazingly, the birds flaired remmyme. WE had a couple more chances, but the birds didn't work well. We fired up the motor and scouted from the lake. We have several spots located where birds are using come late season. One area, we need a few more weekenders and part time cottage owners to go home before we rattle the window panes- Then splatter scity. (Last year we had a bird lock wings and land on a roof. We had to lift a kid that hunts with us up to get it- quite hilarious watching it coast and hit with a thunk). We did salvage the day with a huge brunch, and then traded in our guns for minnows and fishing poles. I ended up with a mess of 15 chuncky to huge perch for supper tonight. Next stop- tree stand.
