We hit our traditional northern Indiana lake for the opener. Saw good numbers of birds on Saturday morning, several large flocks of mallards a few shovlers, teal and woodies. Mike and I ended the hunt with a mix bag of mallards, teal, and woodies. The other half of our crew did the same from their location. Little Cooper did well, I'm very pleased with his manners in the boat and his retrieval work. A couple long chases on crips and a couple nice doubles. Sunday morning was quite a bit slower we ended with a few mallards and woodducks. The pictures from the hunts: Cooper's wore out but still standing guard..... The other crew on a late morning breakfast visit Mike testing some Highland Whiskey tobacco after breakfast Sundays Pics

Thanks Woody, I'm extremely pleased. We've of course trained out of the boat this summer, but this was his first real hunt in the boat, never have we spent 8-9 hours in it. He acted like he knew what he was doing!!!
