So I did my first skull mount for my father in law, Buck he got last year! It turned out really nice! So I wanted to do another one I had from 2 years ago. Only one problem. the head was skinned and ready to be degreased, but got put off as other projects came up, So its been sitting in the shed for 2 years. the meat is all off of it now but there is some dark black brown all over the skull, If I clean it then put the 30% peroxide on it, will it get white again?? Or is there any other tricks to make an old skull white? or is it shot? Thanks

Worse case if it doesn't come off just get a can of white spray paint.

Thanks Mix 3 gallons of water, 1/4 cup Dawn dish soap, 1 gallon of clear ammonia and put the skull in to soak for about 2-3 week...pull the skull from this solution and let it completely dry before doing the peroxide.....it will turn pure white.

So no heat? Just soak in this? Here is the one I did, I think I looks good. I haven't sealed it yet, do you have an idea on sealing? Thanks

Looks good. I use Deft wood sealer to seal my skulls.
