This is sad. my heart goes out to his friends and family. I am sure the person who fired the shot is feeling pretty sick right now.

I understand that they caught the guy. A 59 year old man from a neighboring town.
He should never see the light of day again..

This is a very sad and disturbing part of a sport that we all love to do. It happens during the spring snow goose season here in the U.S. You would like to think that with hunting being a part of Canada's heritage that stuff like this wouldn't go on. I've had people sneak up on my spreads before, but , before anything happened I would yell at them. I really feel for the families and friends of this man. There are no words for something like this.
