I am still tossing the idea around in my mind on going to Arkansas in Jan. Anybody on here have any info they would like to talk about? How many fellars on here have been down there before and where have you hunted? I am still thinkin of trying The Scatters,, but nothing is set in stone yet. I plan on taking my lap-top and adjusting plans as needed once I get there. Plans never go the way they are intended,, and there is so much public land that can be covered there,, just have to play it by ear. Cyber-scouting at its fullest will be employed!! Anybody else have any tips, tricks, er suggestions?

I took Indiana's course on the internet a few years back just in case I ever needed it for this type of thing. Wasn't very painful at all. Just take a couple of the sample tests to study up. The questions were not what I expected though. Mike

I wonder if this cold snap is pushing them further south than Arkansas?

I bet it is. One thing to remember is that when it is cold like this, your rice fields are froze up, and your timber will freeze quick also because they may not have moving water so it will not stay open. I was down there 3 years ago when it was cold like this down there and we ended up on the Arkansas river and did very very well. But most of the birds went further south. I was hunting close to Little Rock. Those hunting guides will tell you anything to get you down there. Best to surf the site to try and find a forum that has arkie on it and read what they are saying.
