I'll hunt it but it's not the same hunting in t-shirts and shorts under your waders. I'd prefer the other days at the end but the fair weather hunters win as usual.

ha the "real" season  some people.... I agree... dammm fair weather hunters huntin the early season... WAIT... thats me !!! But i bet you see me out there in Jan too in 2 foot a snow as well... And if i can bring home 2 drake wood ducks every time mixed in with the mallards! AWESOME!! Beautiful birds... I got a kid (freshman in H.S) that im takin in the mornin on the youth hunt that is flippin out over wantin to shoot a drake woody... .. But im with duffy... you not like it.. dont hunt it.. simple solution |

It is only a few days so what's the big deal. I've seen mallards, woodies, gaddys, ring necks, teal, spoonies and a few others taken in the early split

Out yesterday for youth weekend we seen Mallards Bluewings and a ton of Woody's.
but it was to hot.
i hope it cools down in the next few days

I put the decoys out in my marsh right at dark so all I have to do is slip into my blind tomarrow pour a cup of coffee, light a smoke, and wait till...................mid- November to kill a duck.
But what the heck it's opening day and ya can't kill em if your in BED.
