My neck of the woods is mostly frozen up except for big water. I have open water but I have only seen a small handful of ducks in the last few days.
There are a lot of geese around but they live inside of city limits.

Everything is locking up here too. Mostly stale birds anyways. I do think they're on their way though.

Man feather...spots that should have been loaded had enough for a few shots...you need to lay off those birds. Wrere are the geese? Did you get your railroad set up this season? Hudson was loaded with coots

There never was any ducks and I don't know why but for the past 5-6 years it has been declining.
As far as the geese go there were as of this past Tuesday approx. 2000-2500 staying in town with only about a 20-40 ducks.

I didn't make it to Laporte but there are usually enough around Hudson to keep me busy. I saw 7 when I was loading up my truck to head home...they were the only ones I even heard. Probably saw 30 ducks where we hunted in western St. Joe Co. Should have been flat loaded.
There were guys hunting Hudson. Hope they like coot stew.
Think I will stick with fishing when I go up there anymore!
