Sat Oct. 6 I am giving a lesson on waterfowl hunting at Pigeon River FWA. It will take place at noon. There will be a retriever demo(not my dog), I will have waterfowl ID posters, and give a lesson on decoy rigging, placement, and a few calling hints. If you know any youth who would like to come, bring them, and then take them hunting. Scott

It was a bust. I put a bunch of effort into it- wrote up some topics, put out a mock decoy spread in the grass, got some drinks around and no one showed. We are going to try again between the early and late split- hopefully publicize it in the local papers. Maybe the Ft. Wayne outdoors column. See how that goes. For the record, my 6 yr old son painted his face up and enjoyed himself anyway as he blew my calls, and pet a dog. He drank two cans of pop, and a water then pee-d twice in less than an hour. We went on a "secret adventure" and threw rocks into the water below the dam and watched walnuts go over the dam. He wants to go back with a fishing pole next time. Scott
