Youth Waterfowl Hunt Contest
Youth Waterfowl Hunting Weekends

Three weekends (one in each zone) are set outside the regular hunting season dates to provide a quality hunting experience for young hunters. Youth hunting weekends are:
North Zone:
Oct. 6 - 7
South Zone
Oct. 13 - 14
Ohio River Zone:
Oct. 20 - 21
To encourage More youths to take part on that weekend we are having a Youth Waterfowl Contest.
This is not about who kills the most birds or a banded bird, but what the youth gets out of the hunt.
The contest is fairly simple in that any member here can send me via a PM or email ( asast@sigeconm.net ) a short essay in the youth’s own words about their hunt and a picture of the youth during the hunt.
The mods and/or myself will judge the entries.
This is not home work and we will not judge for English or spelling. Just the content.
November 10th is the deadline to get them in.
PRIZES SO FAR…… (more may be added later0
1) DUCKMASTER1 ( www.fergusoncustomcalls.com/ ) has already donated one of his great calls to the contest.
2) Hoosierhunter2 has donated a "call kit", a poly Buck Gardner Call with a Straight Talk instructional CD, a 3" decal, written calling instructions, and a H.I.T. SQUAD gun barrel decal.
3) johnc911 has graciously donated a One Year Youth Membership to the Central Indiana Chapter of Delta Waterfowl
