I always hunt alone. As others mention, this means I can come and go whenever and wherever I choose which is nice. It would be nice to have another pair of hands to help out once in a while though! Any celebration is a solo affair, generally, with a few exceptions. Last year's buck was slightly above average so some of us did go out to eat as a celebration of sorts.

I sure know what you mean about coming and going as you please. I do like this and I live 20 minutes from my woods, so I do come and go. My buddy is hunting his family's property, ~100 acres, this weekend. There will be about 10 of them there. It's so much fun sitting around a campfire in the evening talking and listening to everyone's stories. If it weren't so far away, I'd go just for the hunter's camp. I'd sure like to see a photo of last year's buck. Did you get him mounted?

Most of the time I hunt alone because I can't wait for others to get ready to go, I like getting in the woods before sunrise. I can't stand for other hunters to walk-in as I'm trying to hunt, so I don't like doing it to others just because I can't get my hunting buddies up any earlier. But I going to have to stop because I'm not getting any younger! This deer only took me about 10 min. to hunt & over 2 hours to drag it out. ![](http://i41.tinypic.com/2zqu69u.jpg)
