Well today was the last hunt of my 2007 early season! I have a show to do tomorrow at the Cincinnati BPS, and also the event we have down in Lawrenceburg Sat.. I went out with my friend J.B. to a traffic field where he had been watching a good bunch of birds. We set up right where the cut bean field meets the cut corn field, set the some of the dekes in the beans as though they were landing and walking into the corn, nice looking spread!! I strung out the decoys into the corn for about 70 yards, and we brushed in in the corn field. Hard to tell where we were! ;D Sure enough the birds flew and we drew in a group of 15 to the decoys. Then about 10 minutes later, we called in a group of 20 or so, they landed just behind us, so we had to turn around to shoot them. Then we had a large group of about 80 or so and they wanted no part of us! It was good to get out one last time, even if it was running traffic. We ended up with 2 a piece. Beautiful morning!! Here's the pics from the morning. Another beautiful morning and sunrise Putting the finishing touches on the blinds, and our blinds brushed in. Our spread was on the edge of a bean and corn field, I love edges like this!! The utensils of the trade! Some of our fine sponsors for the H.I.T. SQUAD. J.B. "Hardcore", he's redneck to the core buddy! ;D J.B. enjoying a little snack from the field!! ;D And of course the "hero" shots!!

I know you were just playing around to get a picture but if a CO wanted to get technical couldn't he get you for baiting for just picking up the corn and moving it?

10 pt., I'll ask and find out.... But from my understanding.... the waste corn that is left in the field is from "normal" farming practices and is not manipulation in any form, so therefore not from the "forbidden fruit" and not "illegal". But I will check into it... good question! As far as I'm concerned these game laws are way to open to interpretation from the game wardens, they should be more black and white so the average lay person or hunter can understand them. They really can split hairs sometimes and you need a lawyer to figure it all out!!!
