Ah...the face paint...you gotta use enough to cover your whole face or it doesn't really help. Makes for good war pictures though

... Makes for good war pictures though If you say so. I think it looks kinda silly myself. But if you feel it is necessary to get the job done, more power to ya!

Uh yeah, I think its silly myself. but always liked the war pictures when they fully covered there face. 4 streaks across your cheek doesn't do alot for hiding

Ah...the face paint...you gotta use enough to cover your whole face or it doesn't really help. I'll respectfully disagree, 'stripes' knock A LOT of the shine off your face thats 99% of it. Remeber, fellas, theres more than one way to skin a cat.....

I tell you one thing.... In a layout blind you better have something on!!! Either a facemask or some camo face paint!! Otherwise you better not be looking up at the birds! As the pitboss or main caller watching the birds and leading the calling, you have to look up and read the birds, and it's alittle tough to call with a facemask on sometimes, so the only alternative left is face paint! So it is always in my blind bag!! Those birds WILL see the flash of bare human skin on sunny days!! You could always buy the camo face decals to put on instead of the face paint!! ;D

I never wear a mask or face paint in my layout blind. I use a power hunter and can't say i've ever had a problem. I do wear a face mask when duck hunting most of the time though.

Gas Can, the power hunter is the exception to the rule, that flip over hood acts as the face mask... I never could get used to throwing it up and shooting though.

Nasty sunny days? I pray for sunny days! Nothin' like a bright sunny day with a little wind to slaughter some green in the woods!

I agree stripes help. I usuallywear a head net- but with calling- I find it easier to pull the net down instead of trying to cut a mouth hole to call with. I typically use a baseball style stripe under each eye to help with glare- and to keep the glare of the sun out of my eyes.
