Insane! He even takes the time to twirl the knife before stabbing the rump of the deer. He has skills for sure.

I think that he's done that before.

Interesting - someone delivered a deer to the processor without field dressing it.

Interesting - someone delivered a deer to the processor without field dressing it. my butcher told me that someone brought a deer to him that hadn't been field dressed. He told me that he charged them $15 and ate the heart ...with some fava beans and chianti.

I would love to be that skilled! If I worked that fast my fingers would look like toes!

Have you guys tried skinning a deer by pulling the skin off with a golf ball and atv? I did it last year. It worked great. Took about the same amount of time as this guy, but was not nearly as cool to watch. This was the first time trying it.

I have yet to see it, but my buddy tells me that he and his family do it this way. For them, if a 4wheeler can do it, that's what they use. I asked my neighbor if he saw this video, and he says that the guy works for the person who owns all the land that he hunts.

Like a better look at that saw blade!
I've spent more time sawing one leg bone off by hand that he spent on the whole deer.
Only thing I saw in his process that I didn't like was sticking the skinning knife repeatedly in the meat of the ham.
Watched an uncle shear sheep one time when I was a kid. Similar mastery of the job and making every motion count. What he did in a minute would have taken me at least a half hour even after watching him do it a few times...and the sheep would probably have come looking for me afterwards!

Took about the same amount of time as this guy, but was not nearly as cool to watch. This was the first time trying it. I've used a truck with deer hanging from a tractor, and 4 wheeler with the deer hanging from a back hoe. The first time we did it we didn't have the hide of the back legs cut at the right angle and we tore the deer in half; however, the loins separated and detached perfect. Another time on a shoulder shot deer, one of the front legs tore off and and stayed with the hide.

I have a buddy who has skinned a deer with a golf ball and his truck. Says it works much better when it is still warm. I have yet to see him do it, but he says it works.

That dude is a bad A$$ mofo! We have skinned and butchered without gutting them before. Usually when it is smoking hot outside and you need to get it cut fast, or have several deer down at the same time. Works ok, but only when needed.

I'd like to know what kind of knife he used. He cut that breast bone like butter.
