its a coin toss as to who restricts our rights more Republicans or Democrats. Might be a long different lines but restricting is restricting.

That not at all what I said, but when people get angry ...it happens. You quoted me as using the term, "only" which I did not. That would be an absolute statement as you have made here: "if Romney had won and the Democrats still control the Senate Obamacare would not have been repealed." I would not bet the farm on this absolute statement. Obeyme's own party is turning on him now that their votes are at risk now that the people know how much it will cost ...unless one is on the free ride wagon. Mr. swilk, are you saying that you would like for President Obama to get his way in running this country? Please, help me understand what you think it will take to turn this country around ...tax more, spend more, borrow more, reduce jobs?  Please, help me understand which rights you feel you now have under the current administration that you wouldn't have under a conservative one. Please, help me understand why you are upset with the conservatives political thought. |

Read some of my posts on politics and you will understand my positions on political parties.
I used the word "only" because that is the only group of people you mentioned. If you actually meant that the republicans can tick off a larger portion of Americans then I would agree.

To turn it around? A libertarian in office and like minded folks controlling the senate and house.
Don't see that happening though so more debt it is.
Neither of the major parties seems to be able to follow that pesky constitution to well.

It's interesting that you didn't answer my pleading to help me understand. I like having rational intelligent political conversations ...sure, I usually have to do this with another conservative, but it's refreshing.
I really don't care how one thinks politically; I just like them to understand what they are saying.
Today, I asked a co-worker why he didn't select no coverage on our benefits options and sign up for Obamacare. This way he could pay at least $1000 more a month and support his party. His response was that all republicans should be taken out and shot.

Now if you take it to extremes with no restrictions then you are left with anarchy; however at this point I have to agree both parties have taken us way too far the other way. Another very troubling component is the activism of judges; they could care less about anything except advancing their own agenda. The whole system is corrupt and broken, and I don't see it getting fixed. I look at my 3 yr old grandson and I fear for what conditions he will face in his lifetime. |

Clint came out in support of gay marriage .... he couldnt win a Republican primary  Socially liberal and fiscally conservative .... sound kinda like a Libertarian to me. |

Smarter than wanting to stay the hell out of peoples lives? What gives me or you or anyone else the right to tell a grown man or woman what they should or should not do as long as it brings no harm to other folks?
BTW ... im not jello. What I am is not easy to put into a mold. I dont tow the party line for anyone or anything. I think. I come to my own conclusions. Calling me a "liberal" would be like me calling you a Mexican midget flying trapeze artist.
