I was out again this morning with Sally ... we got our limit of geese buy 8:00 am ... took some pictures with my small pocket Olympus so not the greatest quality ... also took a short video ( 1st time I tried it ) with the same camera = ( some crows that were squaking at me over the decoys as the sun came up ... )
Never did see the sun ... it was behind the clouds and the ridge ... I set up in a wheat stubble field with a small family group set up of 5 decoys around me ..
Sky started out orange ...
Then pink as the sun crawled out of bed ...
Large flocks of crows dive bombed and squaked at the decoys at 1st light ... I was glad they left because I couldn't hear anything else ! ...
Geese filtered in at decent intervals ... small groups ... I was able to ground 3 singles , one double , and one triple to round out the morning ... 3 inch mag # 2 steel shot out of my newly acquired Hatsun Escort semi auto , brought the game to the table today ...
Headed back to the truck which I had hidden in a low creek area between the fields ... the creek has dryed up this year ...
I went further upstream to see how far the creek had dryed , and as you can see the farmer is taking advantage of the dry up to do some drain / bridge reconstruction ...
Packed up our gear and Sally poses for a picture with the birds ..
