Could you give me the run down on what to expect on the morning of a selected hunt at big oaks. I got drawn for November 4th hunt. I know the arrive times and basic stuff.
We are trying to decide if it is worth going down on a earlier date and getting safety class taken care of. My main question is if hunters have safety class already can they head out earlier to their areas than the hunters taking safety class that morning??? Is it a mad dash at a set time to head out?
In my mind if they make hunters with safety class taken already wait for the safety classes to finish up. Then why go down early to get classes out of way.
I'm in are 34 for the November 4th hunt. Anybody ever hunt area 34? Don't know anything about Big Oaks.
Thanks

I don't see any big advantage going in blind early. If you have a favorite spot different story.

I do not know if there is an advantage to taking hte class early or not but I may be hunting area 34 on 10/12 and 10/13 for the archery hunt if they have it and can let you know about the area.

Guys that have the safety class line up, check in, and get to go. Non safety class guys go into the garage and will get their safety class, then check in, etc like above. This makes it more of a line of guys going to their areas. If 34 is along the west perimeter road and I road, go to I road and look left about 100 yards in and there is a drainage. Go in on the right side of the drainage there is a pond/lake in front of you. The left side is to thick to shoot so don't go over there.

Sorry, I am in Malaysia and haven't looked at a map and tried not to think about Big Oaks as I do enjoy hunting in there.
