Back in the stand today. Bumped one as I entered the woods. Fog is thick in the fields but the woods are clear. Leaves sure are dropping

Nothing moving in Bartholomew this morning either. Cams are catching a lot of activity from 6am until 10 or so. Some evidence of prerut chase. Keep seeing a big 8 point on the cam.
Nice morning.

Heard a lot of movement before first light today. Awesome morning to be out. No sign of any deer yet but with the time change I get an extra hour before work

Great morning to be in the woods. Seen 3 doe and a small 6 pt working a rut . Had 4 turkey rooster above me come dropping out also. Pulled card on my camera on the way in. Lots of pics from 8:30 - 11am. No shooters, but some healthy doe. I'm sticking something before the day is over.

I hunted Clay county on the Owen co line yesterday and Friday. Anyone from those parts? My neighbor has a sweet spot there.

31 degrees, sunny and no wind to speak of.. Looks like a great morning to be out. Good luck to all.. Truck still in shop but able to go this afternoon so making it a full one. Sunny is forecast so from noon till the sun moves behind my ladder stand I'll find something in the shade on the ground downwind of "where I think they will come" (LOL!). It heats up sometime or another, I'll just stay there or move slightly to stay shade side. After this last wet front, I'm expecting some movement/chasing? or at least hoping for such. Lack of available transportation to hunt this hot period I've waited for so long......"picky" isn't in the equation other than for a respectable shot. Safe hunting all! God Bless

Beautiful morning in the woods, bumped two does almost directly under my stand before first light. Going to be out later as most my cams are getting a lot of activity right before dusk. Happy hunting

We did the Big Oaks draw gun hunt this morning. Only areas with an hour drive remained when we picked. Before a could get settled a doe came crashing underneath. She made the mistake of stopping to look back and not running when I chambered a shell. She lays 38.5 yards away. Now I'm good for 2 bucks here.

Had a nice doe at 8:30 but no shot on her; still not seeing any chasing. There was a Pileated on a tree next to mine and he was really going at it. It was raining wood chips, if you could harness one of them you wouldn't need at power carver!

Don't have a smart phone so this report is not live but I will tell you it was on Saturday morning. Saw bucks chasing does and a buck with his nose to the ground crossing a field.

Great morning in Perry Co(HNF). Saw 14 total 4 where small bucks, 6 does, and 4 i couldn't tell. Swing and a miss on a doe(not the first or last time). Bucks where grunting and following the does by 10-15 minutes, wouldnt call it "chasing" but keeping a close eye for sure. Can't wait for my next chance to hunt.

The acreage is over 1000. The spot we hunted was a ~20 acre corn field tucked back in the woods. I probably won't hunt deer again until firearm season. I need to prepare for waterfowl. My neighbor's hunting buddy is an upland hunter; I'm wanting to meet my neighbor's friend. Good luck sprint!

Don't kill to many so you won't be able to go tomorrow. Good luck with the rest of the day
