A buddy of mine wanted to hunt some geese this morning. He called me last night after both of us had been out scouting. The only geese we were able to find were on untouchable areas and we didn't have but one option. I told him of a possible traffic field that I thought could work.
Turned out that the birds decided they didn't mind our spot either. We worked and shot at all but one group and one single. I ended up with 4 on the morning and partner with 1 (poor shooting).
The way its been looking so far this season and the lack of birds in the scouting, I thought that maybe I was loosing the touch, but I guess I'm not doing too bad for what I've got to work with...I think I might still have it!
Just a side note...Federal Blackcloud steel hits hard at 40 yards, but out of a particular Browning Auto 5, about 30 inches to the left. We found out that the wad will travel 60 paces when shot at approximately 30 degrees and no wind.

I've been impressed with Blackcloud ammo so far. 3" #2's out of a modified yields some very devastating results @40-45 yds.
