There is no natural occurrences of Gold in Indiana. All Gold is Placer Gold brought in out of Canada by the Glaciers a few million years ago . There's been a couple gold mining operations in Indiana long ago but none were viable to continue operation. It is possible for a small scale miner to at least cover his costs and on a rare occasion make a day to day profit on his operation but the costs associated with a large scale operation kills it in it's tracks. I feel like I've had a good day if I at least cover fuel costs, a great day if I can tuck a little back for new gear to increase my operation.
