Who here hunts with a mojo dove. I purchased one this past weekend with the expectaion of seeing it works it's magic. I didn't end up getting to hunt but here is the kicker.
MOJO is now only including about a 12" pole with the decoy. I got mine home home and was like: ok, where is the rest of it. No big deal so I stop at Sportsman's Warehouse on Monday to exchange it and they are all that way. I e-mailed MOJO and they response was that they are know only including one section of the stake.
I know it's not the end of the world but come on a 12" stake!
Of those of you that use them what is you opinion, would you use it touching the ground or is higher better?

Hey BG, I did the exact same thing. Got one at Sportsman's Warehouse a few weeks ago and emailed Mojo thinking I was missing part of the stake. I am using plastic PVC pipe to get mine higher. It worked awesome for me on Sunday and Monday. Two limits and easy shots. I had birds land if I didn't shot at them. I was letting some of them land hoping my Son could hit one but he couldn't. I also had two decoys on a dowel rod in air with some PVC pipe near the mojo. Actually had one land on the rod.

I just realized I lied to you. I am not using PVC on the mojo just on the decoys. I have one of those lucky duck spinning decoys they sell at Rural Kind. I am using the post for that and sticking the Mojo stake in that.

I've got 3 sections with mine,, it might get 2' off the ground. I hunt in a fence row alot and it has some dead short trees. I leave 1 section on and put it on a branch in the tree. ;D ;D ;D MAGIC

Forget the mojo dove, my buddy and I started using the baby mojo duck last year with much better results.

Looks good but I would leave some landing room.

I was going to tell him the same thing. Not sure if there's been enough sunflowers knocked down yet though... I'm trying to get permission to shoot some geese in Hendricks County... Not sure if it will pan out though. If I can get permission, you'll be more than welcome to come on down, Tim. I'd be borrowing one of Adams blinds anyway!

I found a big group of geese in Boone county today but the farmer is scared his cows will get shot even though they are 800 yards away. I told him we use shotguns, but he don't understand. I couldn't shoot those cows if I was using a 7mm.
Do you need help knocking down those sunflowers?

Adam,
That is one neat set-up. Glad to see somebody found good work for a choco, although I'm not sure how he's gonna run with that decoy rig on his back to retrieve a dove.

Hey Todd,
Glad you are on the board. Tippy doesn't have any problem running around with that on her back. Shes a lab not a chessy so she can do anyhting. Just kidding. she still eats her own poop on occasion. Good seeing you last weekend.
