Circumstances and I have not had my boat on the river in 3 seasons now. Something was wrong with my motor and the first season I never bothered,, second season was cause I gave a guy way to long to fix it!! Now I took it to another guy this spring and he never got it done either,, but did get a final opinion. He thought where the valve goes through the block was hollowed out and bending valves over and over!! BUMMER AGAIN!! Heck with it, I ordered a new in the box Kohler 25. Arrived a R n L truck today ,,, now all I gotta do is get this thing put together on lower untit and we are gonna be back in business river bound this year!!! Look out ducks,, its payback time!!! I'll try to get some pics of it tomorrow!!

OHHHHHH congratulations!!!
Wow man, that was expensive, yes? This is exciting. That's a nice little engine. Mine is a 15, and does just fine for the river. My hat would blow off with a 25. :-)

Are you talking about a lawnmower motor??? What are you going to do with that? I'm not too smart; you might have to draw me a picture. :-)))

Pigeon, I've never seen anything like that, but if it works ...great!!! Oh, you'll have lots of fun on the water now.
I have a Honda 18hp on my LAWNMOWER (LOL), and ran it dry of oil once. It died, no oil,; I thought for sure that I'd locked it up. Put some oil in it, and it's been running great for 2 years since.

The motor is the CV-740 ,, its a 25 hp. The last motor I had on it was a cv-730s,, this is supposed to be identical,, I am hoping for the best!!!

What he was asking was the model,, and that was the cv-740 part! The entire rig is called a Pro-drive Shallow Water Outboard!! In a nut shell its 4 wheel drive for a boat! I can jump logs,, mulch weed beds and run through inches of water,, as long as the boat is floating,, the motor will keep on pushing it! Couple years back I flipped this boat in the Wabash river one dark and early morning! After that,, everything just started going to chit! So this is the final end result of a wet dark cold morning! A brand new engine! Lets hope this solves my problems!

Ohhhhhhh, that's cool! Yes, I've heard of the shallow water duck boats. I'd like to have a motor like that. I was on White River yesterday and the motor trimmed all the way up, because it was so shallow.
I thought that was a cool looking bottom design. The prop looks totally protected. I'm sure that it would cost me a fortune to get a complete motor like that.
