Went to a bud that has a dairy farm. He has just started in on the silage in the last 2 days. We thought wewould get a jump start on the doves and go for it this evening. He only has about 15 rows picked all the way around this field,, so we sat on the far corner from where he was picking this evening. Wind was whipping out of the north and we were on the SE corner. We had maybe a good hard 10 real nice looks. Man some were toppin the trees and slammin on the breaks to get on the mojos. The few looks we did have were way good ones. How some of the birds left I have no idea,, cause I did unload my gun atleast 3 times I remember,, OOPS I don't think that one was supposed to leave!! 000 We ended with 2 and some real good laughs!! I couldn't bring myself to take the pic,, but I should have!! Better times are coming though once this field gets chopped!!

Sounds like a good time for sure! That will probably be an awesome place once it's cut. Did you hunt there last year?
I'll have to look up a u-tube video of doves flying, because I'm not sure I know what they look like. I hear that they're good eatin' though.

Same field again,, and we went at it. @ of us sat right out in the middle of the field. With the north wind its tough not to rain down on houses so we opted to sit right out in the middle. The Field is pretty much cut now and its starting to stack up!! We had quite a few good shots and managed to knock down 16. We wont discuss how many shots it took,, but in two hours we sure had a good time. My cow is wore out and on the floor for the night!! She is already sawin logs!! I got a good shot of some blood on her!!   |

Same field again,, and we gave it a try this evening!! Only this time we only managed to get 3,, dag nab it!!!! One day to the next,, ya just never know!!It was still way better than riding the couch this evening. Wont be much longer and these nice weather evenings will be a thing of the past!!!
