I made it out Sun morning in all the fog,, but was not able to connect! Between the dove FWA draws,, have not had the time to get back at it till this morning. Met up with a bud and we got set up in some fresh cut hay that had been bailed last weekend. I have seen plenty using this area all week in the evenings,, so we thought we would give it a try. Its hard to hide in short cut hay,, so we dug out the goose chairs,, have not had these out for atleast 5 seasons that I can remember? I bought the swivel bases for these a while back and they were all still in good shape. Set out about 3 dozen big foots and it was game on!! First up we had 2 single come in and meet up right over us,, they circled low one time! My bud fell out of his chair trying to turn and before he could re-group himself,, I had them both grounded!! Picked them up and woo-hoo,, both were banded!!!!!! Since he never even fired a shot,, it was very easy to claim ownership!!! Thank you very much!! Another group came in and BOOM BOOM BOOM I had 2 more on the ground and my bud was in the corner mumbling something about a jam? I don't know but before we could both re-group again here comes 9 more. So I handed him my loaded gun and said DONT PLUCK THIS ONE UP!!! Too late they had already seen us and circled wide and left!! O-well I had a good time laughin at him and showing him my two bands,, and we packed it up for the day! Hopefully we can get that other group in the next couple days,, and my bud will have his jitters calmed down by then!!! Final score was 4 fer me and none for my bud!! Sure is great to be back at it though!!
