2013-2014 Official Season Dates!
Possession limit has gone to 3x the daily bag this year.
Ducks, coots, and mergansers:
North: Oct 19 – Dec 8 & Dec 21-29
Central: Oct 26 – Dec 8 & Dec 21 – Jan 5
South: Nov 2-10 & Nov 30 – Jan 19
Bag limits: six ducks, including no more than four mallards (of which no more than two can
be hens), three scaup, three wood ducks, two pintails, two redheads, two canvasbacks,
one black duck, and one mottled duck. The daily bag limit for coots is 15. The daily bag
limit for mergansers, separate from ducks, is five, of which no more than two can be
hooded mergansers. Possession limit is 3x the daily bag.
Canada goose, white-fronted goose, and brant:
North: Oct 19 – Nov 10 & Nov 28 – Jan 5 & Jan 18-29
Central: Oct 26 – Dec 8 & Dec 21 – Jan 5 & Jan 18-31
South: Nov 2-12 & Nov 30 – Jan 31
Bag limits: 3 CAGO, 2 WFGO, 1 BRAN, possession limit 3x daily bag
Light goose: Oct 19 – Jan 31 (statewide)
Bag limit 20, no possession limit
Light Goose Conservation Order: Feb 1 – March 31, except in the Late Canada Goose
Zone, where the dates are Feb. 16 – March 31
Late Canada Goose Zone Season: Feb 1 – 15, in Adams, Allen, Boone, Clay, DeKalb,
Elkhart, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Huntington, Johnson, Kosciusko, LaPorte,
LaGrange, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Morgan, Noble, Parke, St. Joseph, Shelby,
Steuben, Starke, Sullivan, Vermillion, Vigo, Wells and Whitley counties
Bag limit 5, possession limit 15
Youth Season:
North: Oct 12-13
Central: Oct. 19-20
