Well,, I dont have the X either. I will have to work for them. Hopin 1 of the 2 fields I have access to will be cut this week. And then let the talkin begin. Yard huntin is always an option also. But that gets real good after they get shot at for a few days. Cut or uncut,, it looks like I'll be in alfalfa on the 1st.

As of this mornin scoutin trip... flooded alfalfa seems to be where we will be. BUT! still a week left. We do have a grass field just off Big Turkey ... i mean... JUST OFF Big Turkey that has probably 60... A farmer around Stroh had his freshly seeded hay field was out.. Now its just a huge mud field witha bout 1/2 acre water standin in the middle.... They ROOSTED!!! on it htis morning? ?!!!! I also found that i either need to invest in a herd of Buffalo or Cows and get a pasture goin and then the geese will be there evidently.... crazy!!

Looks like it will be a wheat field for me they have been hitting it for a couple weeks hopefully they will keep it up for 5 more days. If not a nice 10 acre hay field that will be cut this week.

Don't have anywhere to go really. I'm not really interested in shooting birds when it's hot and I have better things to do.

Me too, finally saw a decent flock of close to 50 but they were inside the fence at work, working over a fresh mowed field It was nice to see some though. It's pretty slim in my neck of the woods for resident geese.

still got the 100 sittin on the flooded hay... actually gonna be sittin cross road from it in the moring to HOPEFULLY watch them dump in again.... want to check on flock sizes... what directions comin from... and if they are infact landin right in the water..... in all reality i will probably watch them fly right by it and land about a half mile away

I personally have no knowledge of THE X, but I've heard rumors that shootsa410 carries it around with him.

I personally have no knowledge of THE X, but I've heard rumors that shootsa410 carries it around with him. It's like the old treasure maps. "X" is where a goose hunter needs to be but more then likely spends countless hours just looking for only to have it be the next field over the next day

If anyone has a good field for Sat. and thinks they are really going to "bust" them, I am available for Sat. to film. Our plans for this weekend were postponed due to weather up north, and we won't be hunting around here till Sun. and Mon., so Sat. is wide open for me. So if you want to have your hunt filmed, let me know. ;D
