Looks like the way the Kank used to look.
I can remember back in the late 60's early 70's ducks would come out of Gumz and it would take about 1/2 hour for all of them to get out and resettled in either the front refuge or the Toto road refuge.
Those days are gone..........forever.

I have seen some pretty good sized flocks of birds down there. And actually I have seen some around Kingsbury/Fish Lake area also within the last 5-10 years. I agree not what was,, but what still is...... I wasn't born till 73. I remember Ozpa telling me to drive past the Gumz farm a few years back and take a look. Just a uneducated guess ,,I would say there was 25,000 ducks there that day.... All out on the ice in the corn... No open water..

I watched the video twice. If only I could witness such an event first hand. At least the footage still exists.
