I went down to my property in Dearborn County Saturday and was almost to my place on Laughery Creek Road when two quails ran right in front of me across the road. I actually ran right over top of the second one but did not hit it with the wheels. I haven't seen quail in Indiana before. Are they plentiful in the Dearborn County area? I've only owned my place there for a year.

They are plentiful in some places still, not sure about Dearborn Co. though. I saw one myself about 2 weeks ago in about the same way you saw yours. We quit hunting them in Bartholomew Co. for the fact we hadn't seen or heard any for several years in a row.

There used to be a large population on the NMLRA grounds in Riply Co. I haven't been there in a few years but I don't know why they would not be there now.
