I'm going to try to do the Martinsville one, but not sure that I can sit for 4 hours without a nap. I'll try it.
Thanks!

Jon, if you're going to be there for sure let me know. It'd be great to put a face with a screen name.
Also, I'd be surprised if it lasts the whole four hours.

I sent them an email, but didn't hear back. I'm going to the doctor today, but will call them after if nothing from email. I live about 20 minutes north of there and that facility is very close to where I hunt.

The workshop was very cool. I learned a lot. They went over the history of the sport and why we have the rules we do. They talked about population and habitat management. They went over the rules. They did a waterfowl ID section. They took us outside and showed an example of a field decoy spread as well as a water decoy spread.
For lunch they served goose brats as well as goose summer sausage and goose snack sticks. It was pretty good stuff.
They also had a raffle for one dozen duck decoys that were donated by The Outdoorsman in Greenwood. I won.
Also, I had the pleasure of meeting Jon Snow. He's a good dude and he made it through the whole thing without taking a nap.

LOL, yep, I made it without a nap, but I was worried just before lunch; my brain was saturated and I was fading fast. It was funny that I told GPM what hat I'd be wearing, and totally forgot that I'd be the only one wearing a defibrillator. :-) GPM has a real beard! When I first got there I looked at everyone sporting some facial hair, but he was the only one with a Robertson beard. Yes, it was very nice meeting GPM; I hope to meet more of you in the future.
Awesome class! Thanks for recommending it featherduster.
