I finally got some more of my taxidermy work back, a couple of banded geese from 2 seasons ago, they were shot on back to back days.

Duff, neither are my ceilings, but the master plan is when I build the house we are planning, it will be a rustic timber framed house and I want to hang these geese up in the rafters, and I'm going to rig the door bell to activate a recording device up there with them that will be a recording of real geese honking, so that will be the doorbell! ;D They were both banded here in Indiana, we get alot of that here, mostly local birds. I'm not seeing as many neck bands around here like we used to, just alot of metal leg bands, and this year the DNR is doing alot of plastic leg bands (tarsus bands) along with the metal leg bands, they are orange and white with no numbers on them, I don't know if they represent male and female that way they only have to sex them once or what? Now I'm only waiting on 2 more shoulder mounts from the last 2 seasons, and a drake widgeon from last season, and I'll be caught up! ;D

If you'll notice, those are pink glasses, I believe that bird had a brush with the PWA boys!! ;D A local guy here in Franklin does my taxidermy work, his name is J.B. Fox, his business is called Real Look Taxidermy I believe, that's terrible I don't know his business name for sure!! He really does a great job! You just have to be willing to wait awhile to get them back, but he's a good guy and we hunt together some, so I'm willing to wait and be patient to give him the business and I know that the work will be excellent as well.

I would rather wait for a good job, then get a speedy crappy job. They do look nice.
